What is a Bin Fluidizer?
Fluidizing bin discharger is used to remove poorly exhausted powder from cartons, which can be liquefied by the introduction of air. A jacketed housing provides aeration along the catalyst wall which causes the material to behave like a fluid.
Bin Fluidizer will help in uniform flow and discharge of dry bulk material through aeration and hopper wall vibration. It prevents storage silos, dust collectors, wet bins.
How does it Work
When a gas flow is introduced through the bottom of a bed of solid particles, it will move upward through the bed through the empty spaces between the particles. At low gas velocities, the aerodynamic pull on each particle is also less, and thus the bed remains in a fixed state. Increasing in velocity, the aerodynamic drag forces will begin to oppose the gravitational forces, allowing the bed to expand in volume as the particles move away from each other. A simple daily-life example of a gas-solid fluidized bed would be a hot-air popcorn popper.
After popping, the now larger popcorn particles are faced with an increase in aerodynamic drag that pushes them out of the chamber and into a bowl. This process is also important in the formation of sand volcanoes and in the formation of fluid escape structures in sediments and sedimentary rocks.
